The Birth of the Career In STEM Metaverse

As pioneers in immersive tech education, we understand the importance of practicing what we preach. The Career In STEM Metaverse project was born from this vision. Collaborating with Tino Truong from BasedXR, we conceptualized a “connectory” within the metaverse, where individuals passionate about STEM could come together. This innovative project aimed to provide students, educators, and STEM professionals with a unique platform for networking, collaboration, and immersive learning experiences.

The First Career In STEM Metaverse Meetup

In March 2023, we organized the first-ever Career In STEM Metaverse Meetup, a live event within the metaverse. This groundbreaking event brought together over 40 participants, including teens, educators, and STEM professionals. The meetup featured networking opportunities, engaging chat sessions, and a gallery walk showcasing student work. By leveraging the metaverse, we created an immersive environment that fostered meaningful connections and inspired participants to explore STEM career pathways.

Real-World Examples of Metaverse in Education

The metaverse offers endless possibilities for enhancing education. Here are some real examples of how the metaverse is being used in middle and high school education:
