Statement of Faith & Beliefs

The purpose of this group is to help homeschool families in the Windham region become all that God has created them to be. Together we will discover and develop our gifts, knowledge, and identity in Christ. To do so, all members of this group uphold the following beliefs:

WE BELIEVE THE BIBLE.

The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, and the supreme and final authority on all matters upon which it teaches. If the Bible says it, we believe it fully and wholeheartedly.

2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Rev. 22:18-9

Content that undermines Biblical authority is not permitted.

WE BELIEVE THERE IS ONLY ONE GOD.

There is only one God, Creator of heaven and earth, who exists eternally as three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit, each fully God yet each distinct from the other.

Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14

Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless human life, willingly took upon Himself all of our sins by his sacrifice on the cross, died and rose again bodily, and is seated at the right hand of the Father as our Advocate and Mediator. He will return to consummate history and to fulfill the eternal plan of God.

The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin and draws people to Christ. He also dwells within all believers.

Titus 3:5-7; Romans 8:1-17

WE BELIEVE IN FAMILY.

We govern our lives under the authority of God, and are strong advocates of parental rights and constitutional freedoms.

God wonderfully and immutably creates each person as male or female.
“Marriage” has only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union.
Responsibility for the education of children belongs to parents.
